Make your own African Body Butter - Workshop
For those of you curious about natural skincare and African ingredients, this workshop is a chance to get to know Shea Butter Nilotica. In East Africa, where this rare butter is wildly hand-harvested, it’s valued for its soft texture and nourishing care.
I look forward to welcoming you to an afternoon of learning, creating, and connection. Together we’ll explore a bit of the history and traditions behind shea butter, take a short skin-test quiz to understand what your skin needs, and then walk through the process of blending your own personal body butter.
All the equipment you’ll need will be provided, and we’ll be working with high-quality ingredients such as hand-made shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter, and nourishing oils like baobab and marula. You’ll have the chance to touch, smell, and mix these beautiful materials - adding natural oils and gentle scents that feel right for you.
While we create, we’ll share African snacks and refreshing hot and cold drinks. Whether you come alone, with a friend, or bring a family member, this is a warm and welcoming space to slow down and care for your skin and soul in a natural way.
